Fresh Feeling
An almost over-the-top love song featuring stringed instruments. This song is the ideal first dance song at a wedding since it achieves the close to impossible by expressing sentimental feelings (um, love) without using that cliche ridden word or typical cliches used in almost every other love song. Think Whitney Houston (I will always love you-oooo-oooo-oooooo-oooo, love you-ooooo-ooooo...etc) Fresh Feeling is the exact opposite despite expressing similar sentiments.
That's Not Really Funny
This was the song that actually reconnected me to the Eels. I dug Novocaine for the Soul and then promptly forgot about the Eels until a friend of mine was playing this song in his car. From that day I became an Souljacker and Eels fan. That's Not Really Funny is loop based with unusual hooks and percussion and there is a pleasing 'scratched record sound' in the background. The lyrics are light and fun, "The little boy will wipe his nose because it's runny, then points his at me and laughs, but that's not really funny," and the chorus is nothing more than a scream "wooooo" but it works.

Glorious riff rock. End of story.
Friendly Ghost
A straight-up pop song with that Eels quirky twist - provided by the fun lyrics and wicked keyboards. I wish I had a friendly ghost looking over my shoulder too.
